Job Description
Job Title: Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider
Profession: Physician Assistant
Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
Duration: 3 months with option to extend
Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 8 hours
Experience: Required experience with Hematology patients, both benign and malignant.
License: State license required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Must-Have: Strong focus on hematology.
Description:
We are seeking a Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider.
The position involves inpatient Hematology/Oncology services.
The schedule is Monday through Friday during day shifts.
The provider will support a full-time staff.
The caseload will be approximately 11 to 16 patients per day, across all ages.
Knowledge of bone marrow practices is beneficial, though specialization is not required.
The provider must be comfortable managing both benign and malignant hematology cases.
Support from other Advanced Practice Providers will be available during the day.
There is no Advanced Practice Provider support for taking calls or during weekends.
Familiarity with the electronic medical record system is essential.
The environment focuses heavily on hematology services.
Credentialing may take between 60 to 90 days.
Only basic acute care certifications are needed.
This role is focused on providing high-quality care in Hematology/Oncology.
