    Physician Assistant - Endocrinology

    Position Overview

    Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join an outpatient endocrinology practice in Fort Worth. This is an opportunity to work closely with a new endocrinologist and play an important role in the growth of the practice.

    New graduates will not be considered. More than one year of APP practice experience is required.

    Position Highlights

    • Outpatient endocrinology only
    • Monday-Friday, Week days
    • No nights or weekends
    • Practice call managed by phone only
    • Provide coverage when the physician is out of the office
    • Collaborative practice with one endocrinologist and no other APPs currently in the practice
    • Opportunity to develop specialized endocrinology expertise

    Clinical Focus

    The PA will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a variety of endocrine and metabolic conditions, including:

    • Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
    • Insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
    • GLP-1 therapy
    • Medical weight management
    • Hormone and testosterone therapy
    • Thyroid disorders
    • Other common endocrine conditions

    The provider will develop treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic testing, manage medications, monitor outcomes, and educate patients on disease management and lifestyle modification.

    Ideal Candidate

    Preferred experience includes:

    • Endocrinology
    • Family Medicine
    • Primary Care
    • Internal Medicine
    • Diabetes or weight management

    The ideal candidate is clinically confident, patient-focused, highly organized, and comfortable practicing independently while collaborating with the endocrinologist.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
    • More than 1 year of PA practice experience
    • Current Texas PA license
    • NCCPA certification
    • BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
    • Eligible for Baylor Scott & White credentialing and privileges

    CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

    • Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
    • Physician Assistants (PA): Must have a PA license through the state of TX.
