What Youll Do
- Provide acute patient care in ICU, pre and post-cardiac surgery settings
- Manage patients coming off vents and recovering from open heart, VATS, and lung surgeries
- Round on 10-15 patients on the service, ensuring optimal recovery and care
- Assist with procedures including vein harvesting (preferred)
- Collaborate with surgical teams and ICU staff to monitor patient progress
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently
- Respond to emergent situations as needed
What You Need
Required:- Active Physician Assistant license in Texas
- ICU and cardiac surgery experience
- Ability to work 7a-7p shifts
- Strong patient management skills
Preferred:- Experience in OR settings, especially vein harvesting
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Team-oriented and adaptable
