We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our busy, rural, well-established primary care clinic affiliated with Boone County Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Physician who enjoys caring for a diverse patient population in a collaborative, team-based environment.


Position Highlights:

· Full time position (40 hours per week)

· Practice in a rural clinic affiliated with a Critical Access Hospital

· Broad scope of practice with a diverse patient population across the lifespan

· Strong teamwork with physicians, nursing, and care team members

· Dragon voice recognition and AI-assisted documentation tools to reduce charting burden and support work-life balance

Responsibilities:

·        Provide comprehensive primary care services including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care

·        Conduct patient histories, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning

·        Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

·        Prescribe medications and manage ongoing care

·        Collaborate closely with physicians and interprofessional team members

·        Utilize Dragon and AI documentation tools to support efficient, high-quality clinical documentation


Qualifications:

·        Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

·        Current (or ability to obtain) state licensure in the state of Iowa

·        CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

·        3 to 5 years of practice in a clinic or hospital setting required
