GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for Physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) recruitment activities for Henry Ford Health (HFH) to include, but not limited to, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Midwives (Collectively Providers). Undertakes activities related to Provider recruitment and sourcing to meet the goals and objectives of Provider recruitment strategies. Responsible for all steps associated with sourcing, screening, and delivering qualified, diverse Provider candidates to HFH.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the HFH Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Participates in the full recruitment activities including candidate identification sourcing and interviewing, marketing, and advertising, reporting, and maintaining Provider searches. Responsible for various recruitment methods, (i.e., HFH website, Provider career websites, advertising, direct mail, telemarketing, Provider career fairs, and Provider databases).
- Utilizes Provider recruiting procurement methods to generate qualified candidates for current and future clinical opportunities. Identifies potential candidates through direct and indirect sourcing, online job postings, Provider training programs and events, networking, Internet, social media, referrals, and professional medical associations across the country.
- Initiates cold calling of potential Provider candidates. Performs searches including broadcast and specific emails to targeted potential candidates to recruit qualified Providers to be presented to medical, clinical, and administrative leadership for
consideration.
- Works with various system, regional, and medical leaders to create, maintain, and update HFH Provider opportunities.
- Develops and maintains data and detailed reports through databases, spreadsheets, and other related programs for Provider recruitment function to review the status of all recruitment efforts, and tracks Provider recruitment and placement throughout HFH. This includes verifying that all new hire data is correct in information systems utilized for Provider recruitment.
- Works with various internal and external Provider training programs to recruit current and future graduates for HFH opportunities. Builds relationships with program coordinators of Provider programs within the US.
- Works with Manager, Physician Recruitment and Director of Physician Recruitment to continually improve the sourcing, recruiting, and placement of Providers.
- Responsible for content and or response using social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc. as appropriate. Coordinates and participates in Provider career fairs, local and national recruiting shows, medical conferences, etc.
- Reviews, evaluates, and presents Providers CV's along with completed screening summary of potential candidates as necessary. Conducts initial screening assessments of Provider candidates.
- Facilitates site visits for candidates and spouse/significant other. This may include but is not limited to arranging for travel, lodging, meals, and welcome gift, developing itineraries for candidate and spouse, providing transportation, assisting with site visits, virtual interviews, and benefit overviews, and other activities as needed.
- Coordinates and participates in activities for various Provider recruitment projects.
- Assists with the documentation required for the completion of the credentialing process, as needed. This may include but is not limited to references, background check, license verification and other screening activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, HFH Compliance Program, Standards of Conduct, ethics, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest,
ethical, and professional behavior.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Manager and/or Director, Physician Recruitment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in APP or other healthcare related recruiting. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, must possess an Associate's Degree and four (4) years of experience in APP or other healthcare related recruiting.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Must possess knowledge of medical and surgical clinical specialty areas.
- High level of skills with computers and software.
- Demonstrated computer competency including use of windows-based computer system with advanced proficiency of a variety of tools including email, internet, and software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, database applications and presentation software.
- Experience with social media outlets.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and networking skills especially with physicians, medical staff leadership and administrative leadership.
