Join Witham Health Services' growing Anesthesiology team as a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist. This is a full-time, hospital-employed position within a collaborative, community-focused health system.

Join an established team providing anesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties. This opportunity offers an excellent balance of clinical autonomy, manageable call responsibilities, and a true physician only practice where you manage the entirety of your own cases.

About the Position

• Physician only anesthesia practice with complete ownership of your cases
• Full spectrum of anesthesia care including:
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • ENT
  • Gastroenterology
  • Spine
  • OB/GYN
  • Breast Surgery
  • Healthy Pediatrics
  • Podiatry
• No cardiac, thoracic, or neurosurgical cases
• Comfortable performing basic peripheral nerve blocks
• Coverage includes:
  • 4 Operating Rooms
  • 1 Obstetrical Operating Room
  • 2 Endoscopy Suites
  • 4 Labor and Delivery Rooms
  • Occasional MRI and Cath Lab procedures
• Home call with a 30 minute response time or the option to utilize an on call room
• Teaching opportunity available with Marian University

• Variable schedule, typically between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM

• Workload averages based on previous year's scheduling data:
  • Approximately 182 clinical workdays per year
  • Approximately 37 weeknight call shifts annually
  • Approximately 16 weekend or holiday call shifts annually
• Patient population includes adults, obstetrical patients, and healthy pediatric patients
• Physician directed practice with complete autonomy in managing your own anesthetic cases
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• Collegial medical staff and supportive administration

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for an unrestricted Indiana medical license
• Comfortable performing basic peripheral nerve blocks
• Dedicated to providing high quality, patient centered anesthesia care
