Physical Therapy Clinic Manager
Location: Elgin, Illinois
Status: Full-Time
Days/Hours: Days and evenings (no weekends)
Salary Range (depending on experience): $88,000 - $131,000/year (eligible for incentives & sign-on bonus)
Summary
A primary care giver providing physical therapy in accordance with the standards as authorized by the Illinois Physical Therapy Act. Assists the Director of Physical Therapy to ensure that the services are at the highest quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Evaluates and examines patients, recommends and establishes a plan of therapeutic treatment with interpretation of referrals with assessment of the on-going effects of the interventions.
Administers treatment programs by direction of patients in a program of therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, mobilization, and gait training, and educates patients in self-care management
Performs physical therapy rehabilitation treatments using such physical modalities as heat, cold, hydrotherapy, massage, electricity, and sound.
Maintains accurate daily records of treatment, prepares necessary patient care reports in a timely manner including evaluations, re-examinations, plan of care, progress notes, discharge summaries and physician correspondence that clearly shows skilled care and medical necessity.
Required to meet and maintain prescribed standards of competence and conduct to engage in the practice of physical therapy as authorized by the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Responsible for patient billing to be done according to established procedures.
Directs and manages staff meetings, continuing education programs and quality assurance with strategic goals for clinical improvement.
Manages daily coordination of treatment activities of the clinic, including production, measures for quality assurance, functional outcomes, performance improvement, risk management and equipment needs and maintenance.
Selects, trains, and orientates new therapists. Evaluates staff therapist and trainer performance including recommendations for merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions as needed.
