Physical Therapy Assistant - Travel Contract

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state Physical Therapist Assistant license in Indiana required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Outpatient physical therapy experience within the last 2 years is required.
• No new graduates. Minimum prior clinical experience required.
• Experience implementing therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief techniques, and functional skills training.
• Proficiency with common outpatient modalities and equipment including hot/cold packs, ultrasound, TENS, whirlpool, paraffin, fluidotherapy, therapeutic pool (if applicable), and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Demonstrated ability to follow safe patient handling and infection control procedures.
• Ability to document patient progress and provide patient and family education per clinic standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to other clinic locations if floating is required may be necessary.
• Preferred: Additional certifications or training in outpatient orthopedics, therapeutic modalities, or manual techniques.
