Physical Therapist Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and family members on exercises, safety precautions, and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
- Support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while promoting positive clinical outcomes.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Utah or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
