Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Full-Time
Canyons Springs Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a full-time basis.
Pay Rate: $50-$52 per hour

General Purpose
The Staff Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction of the Staff Physical Therapist to provide quality rehabilitation services and direct resident care. The PTA helps residents achieve their mobility, functional, and rehabilitation goals while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Essential Duties
Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
Participate in resident care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
For California PTAs, practice in accordance with applicable California laws and regulations related to physical rehabilitation, including Article 4 § 1398.44.
Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides.
Communicate routinely with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding resident progress, goals, discharge planning, and updates to physicians, nursing staff, the interdisciplinary team, residents, and families.
Provide in-service training programs for facility staff as needed.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals, home exercise programs, maintenance programs, safety techniques, and fall-prevention strategies.
Recommend and facilitate ordering necessary durable medical equipment to promote resident independence and mobility, including walkers, canes, splints, elevated toilet seats, and grab bars.
Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
Report department equipment issues promptly to ensure equipment remains in safe, proper working condition.
Contribute to quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and rehabilitation program development as assigned.
Establish and maintain positive, effective, and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current PTA licensure/authorization to practice in California.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing quality resident care.
