    PRN 
     
    Job Summary
    Join our team and be a part of our mission to deliver accessible, high-quality, affordable, and compassionate healthcare. Sanford Health Watertown is a non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. 
     
    This PRN position will provide physical therapy services for patients in acute care, swing bed, long-term care, home health, outpatient and contractual areas.
     
    Responsibilities include:
    • Provides physical therapy treatment that follows an established plan of care and is age, educational level and culturally appropriate to the patient/family.
    • Provides physical therapy services in accordance with the state practice act.
    • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of physical therapy services.
    • Completes timely and appropriate documentation that reflects care provided and follows regulatory requirements.
    • Establishes appropriate charges for services rendered.
    • Assists with coordination of patient care schedules to meet productivity standards.
    • Ensures equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
    • Participates in departmental quality and outcome studies.
    • Serves a clinical instructor for PTA students and high school students.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
     
    Qualifications
    Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant  program with an associate degree.
    Previous experience with physical therapy preferred.
    Holds or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
    CPR certification per policy.
     
    Sanford Health Watertown has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.
