We specialize in Pain Management, Chiropractic Therapy, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Orthopedics.

    Our team is growing quickly and we are in search of an energetic, friendly, and hardworking Physical Therapy Assistant to assist our patients in our South Bay Clinics. Goodlife provides and coordinates conservative modalities with pain relieving and orthopedic techniques to deliver the best opportunity for rapid and sustained correction of painful physical medicine disorders.     Responsibilities:

    \n
    • \n
    • Implement components of the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercise, stretching, and mobility drills.
    • \n
    • Demonstrate and guide patients through exercises and movements such as squats, lunges, balance drills, and stretching.
    • \n
    • Apply therapeutic modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy, traction) as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
    • \n
    • Perform manual therapy techniques within scope of practice and as delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist.
    • \n
    • Assist with patient transfers, positioning, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
    • \n
    • Monitor and document patient response to treatment, tolerance, and progress toward established goals, and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
    • \n
    • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and the recovery process, including possible challenges.
    • \n
    • Document patient care services by charting in our EMR in a timely and accurate manner.
    • \n
    • Communicate regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and the need for any plan of care re-evaluation.
    • \n
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area, and ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained and stocked.

    Qualifications:

    \n
    • \n
    • Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
    • \n
    • Current, valid state license/certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant, in good standing.
    • \n
    • CPR/BLS certification.
    • \n
    • Working knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred; Athena experience a plus.
    • \n
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team setting under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

    This is classified as an exempt position with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, paid holidays and CME. We also reimburse for mileage when travel is involved.
