Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay: $28.00–$34.00 per hour, based on experience

Quality Rehab Physical Therapy is hiring a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient team in Colorado Springs. If you're looking for a position that allows you to maintain a consistent clinical schedule without committing to full-time hours, this role offers flexibility while still giving you the opportunity to work directly with patients and grow as a clinician.


Our private practice has served the Colorado Springs community for nearly two decades. We focus on individualized rehabilitation and believe clinicians should have enough time with each patient to provide thoughtful, effective care. Our treatment model includes 40-minute, one-on-one appointments with no overlapping patients, allowing you to concentrate on the patient and treatment plan rather than rushing through a high-volume schedule.


The PTA will work alongside our Physical Therapists to provide skilled treatment according to established plans of care. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with patients, reinforce their treatment programs, and help them progress toward their functional goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Lead patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and functional activities
• Assist with strengthening, flexibility, mobility, gait, and balance activities
• Reinforce home exercise programs and proper movement techniques
• Provide hands-on assistance and therapeutic interventions within the PTA's scope of practice
• Monitor patient tolerance and response during treatment
• Communicate patient progress and concerns with the supervising PT
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Assist patients with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility when appropriate
• Maintain a professional and encouraging treatment environment
• Participate in team communication and contribute to a positive clinic culture

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Colorado PTA license or eligibility for Colorado licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow and appropriately implement PT-directed plans of care
• Dependable attendance and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with PTs and other clinic staff
• Professional and patient-focused approach
• Physical ability to safely assist with patient mobility, transfers, and therapeutic activities
