Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who enjoys hands-on patient care and working as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team. The PTA will work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to carry out individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, monitor patient response, and support patients throughout their rehabilitation. Our clinic provides care for a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, balance and vestibular conditions, pelvic floor, and other outpatient rehabilitation needs.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Carry out individualized plans of care established by the PT
- Perform therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Provide manual therapy and other appropriate treatment techniques within PTA scope
- Assist with neuromuscular re-education and functional mobility training
- Monitor and communicate patient response and progress to the supervising PT
- Instruct patients in prescribed home exercise programs
- Educate patients on proper movement, exercise technique, and injury prevention
- Assist patients with safe transfers, positioning, mobility, and therapeutic activities as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members
- Collaborate with PTs and other members of the rehabilitation team
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development
Required- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Colorado PTA license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure before employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, dependable, and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to safely assist, transfer, position, and mobilize patients when required
Preferred- CPR certification
- Previous outpatient rehabilitation experience
- Interest or experience in orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, sports, pelvic floor, or other specialty areas
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
