Job Description

We are hiring a Part-time Physical Therapy Technician for our Tenafly office.

  • Helps treat patients by applying heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Answer phones and perfom light front-desk duties.
  • Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering them to the treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning the patient on the equipment.
  • Keeps a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer''s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintains physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine the inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Watch the patient's development during therapy sessions and note how the patient responds.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical environment, ideally in a physical or occupational therapy department, is preferred
  • Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Caring nature, with a genuine interest in helping people
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Additional Information

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $16.00-$17.50. Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company''s incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company''s plan.
