Our client, a physical therapy and outpatient rehabilitation clinic, is hiring a Part-Time Physical Therapy Aide to support daily clinical operations in Erie, Pennsylvania. This role works directly under the supervision of licensed physical therapists and therapy assistants, helping prepare treatment areas, assist patients during exercises, and keep the clinic running smoothly.
This is an entry-level position well suited to candidates exploring a career in physical therapy, athletic training, or allied health. No prior clinical experience is required, though comfort working with patients of varying ages and mobility levels is important. Training on clinic equipment, documentation systems, and safety protocols is provided on the job.
The schedule is part-time with shifts available on weekday mornings and afternoons. This is a hands-on, non-remote role based entirely at the clinic location.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down treatment areas and exercise equipment between patient sessions
- Assist patients with positioning, transfers, and basic exercises under therapist supervision
- Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment rooms according to clinic protocols
- Prepare hot and cold therapy packs and other modality supplies
- Escort patients to and from treatment areas and monitor waiting room flow
- Restock therapy supplies and notify staff when inventory runs low
- Enter basic patient attendance and scheduling information into the clinic system
- Support front desk staff with check-in during high-volume periods
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient transfers for extended periods
- Comfortable working closely with patients recovering from injury or surgery
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor
- Reliable availability for part-time weekday shifts
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and documentation entry
- CPR certification preferred but not required at hire
- Prior customer service or healthcare exposure a plus
