UVA Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapist evaluates plans and implements individualized treatment programs to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability for patients across the lifespan. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions including exercise, manual therapy, functional training, and modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Maintain compliance with all departmental, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- Licensure & Certification: Current Virginia Physical Therapist License or eligible to obtain; required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Prior clinical experience in physical therapy preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
