    IMC is currently looking to hire a Physical Therapist ( Rehab Services) on a Fulltime basis. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patient needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, be responsible for organizing and conducting medically necessary physical therapy to restore function , prevent disability, decrease pain, and promote healing following disease, injury or sickness in our acute care setting.  We have a team-oriented environment and our therapy services span across three settings, including acute, outpatient, and inpatient rehab. Our department is a great environment for flexibility and development of skills. 

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION/LICENSURE:

    • Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from an approved school.

    • Current valid Physical Therapy License in Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by LSBPTE.

    TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

    • Successful completion of long term clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments  from an accredited PT school, or one year of recent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    • Knowledge of PT delivery throughout patient lifespan.
    • Knowledge of acute care PT for inpatient services. 

    PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Evaluate patients
    • Treat patients
    • Monitor and assess patients
    • Supervise delivery of treatment to patients
    • Reassess patients
    • Assist director of rehab with development of policies and procedures
    • Assist with scheduling of patients
    • Documentation of patient care
