Physical Therapist

A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening in Spring 2026 in Gainesville is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its expanding clinical team. This modern facility will offer comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical care, and a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit focused on restoring function and supporting patient recovery.

This role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, manage pain, and regain independence through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. The Physical Therapist works closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to assess patient needs, establish therapy goals, and implement targeted interventions that support meaningful recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities include ongoing evaluation of patient progress, modification of treatment plans as needed, and maintaining clear and timely clinical documentation. Patient and family education is a key part of the role, including instruction on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies to support long-term success after discharge. Collaboration across disciplines is essential to ensure coordinated care and smooth transitions throughout the recovery process.

The position may also include mentoring therapy assistants or supporting students in clinical training environments as opportunities arise.

Qualifications:

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist required

• Vocational school graduate required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply

Schedule:

• Full-time

• Day shift

• Rotating weekends

• 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with staggered scheduling based on hospital needs
