Schedule: Day Shift
Shift Options: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Up to every other weekend, as needed
Pay Range: $34.34–$51.51 per hour, based on experience
Weekend Differential: Additional $5.00/hour for weekend shifts
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000, based on experience
On-Call: None

Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Physical Therapist – Acute Care for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This position provides physical therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses in an acute care setting, with a focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, safety, and functional independence.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe and effective patient outcomes.

Acute care experience is preferred; however, new graduate Physical Therapists with relevant acute care clinical rotation experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
  
• 
  Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, functional limitations, and physician orders.
  
• 
  Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
  
• 
  Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals, mobility techniques, rehabilitation strategies, safety, and home care.
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  
• 
  Support discharge planning and recommendations based on patient mobility and functional needs.
  
• 
  Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant patient documentation.
  
• 
  Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  
• 
  Promote patient safety and high-quality care throughout the rehabilitation process.
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  
• 
  Active and unrestricted Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license.
  
• 
  Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  
• 
  Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient-care skills.
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary acute care environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Previous physical therapy experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
  
• 
  Experience treating patients with a broad range of medical diagnoses and functional needs.
  
• 
  New graduates with strong acute care clinical rotation experience are welcome to apply.
