Description:

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time (35 hours per week), in-person leave coverage position in the Mason, MI area. This temporary opportunity is ideal for a therapist who enjoys working in school-based settings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

The Physical Therapist will provide services to students across multiple school districts, managing a combination of direct therapy and consultative services. Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, developing treatment plans, and working closely with educators and families to promote student mobility, access, and participation within the educational environment.

This assignment is expected to last approximately 8-10 weeks and will provide coverage during a staff member's medical leave. The anticipated start date is within the coming weeks.

• Provide physical therapy services to students across multiple school sites throughout the week.

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' physical and mobility needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other related service providers.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.

• Provide recommendations regarding mobility equipment, positioning, accessibility, and participation within the school environment.

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Physical Therapist license.

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between school sites throughout the week.
