    Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatrics

    Salary Range: $25.07 - $26.72 per hour

    Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation

    Employment Type: Full-time

    Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility setting. In this role, you will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to help patients regain and maintain their physical strength, mobility, and independence.

    Responsibilities:

    - Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

    - Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and goals

    - Utilize various therapeutic techniques and modalities to help patients improve their physical function and reduce pain

    - Monitor and document patients' progress, including any changes in condition or response to treatment

    - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure a collaborative and coordinated approach to care

    - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans

    - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines

    - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff

    Qualifications:

    - Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

    - Current state PTA license or eligibility for licensure

    - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a geriatric or SNF setting preferred

    - Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques

    - Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

    - Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
