Physical Therapist Assistant Stockton, CaliforniaFull TimeIdeal Candidate: Adult and or geriatric experience, pediatric only experience will not be considered
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an integral part of the IDT, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and provide direct care to participants. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and to develop or restore function.

- Collaborate with other therapists, providers, and disciplines
- Have work/life balance - no after hours of documentation
On the day-to-day, you will: - Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist
- Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing
- Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants' individual treatment plans
- Handle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billing
- Document physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and treatments (e.g., massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity)
Job requirements include:- PTA associate's degree from an accredited program
- Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility
- PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
