Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Services are provided in accordance with physician orders, the established plan of care, and applicable state and federal requirements.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provide physical therapy services as directed by the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, functional activities, and other interventions within the PTA’s scope of practice.
- Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence within their capabilities.
- Observe and document patients’ responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other members of the home health care team to support coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and other activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies and applicable requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification, as required by the state in which practicing.
- Experience in home health or a related clinical setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
- Knowledge of applicable home health documentation requirements and standards.
