Overview:

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: 4655 66th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709
Schedule: PRN / As Needed – Monday through Friday, including evenings until 7:00 PM
Compensation: $35/hr

 

Select Physical Therapy’s outpatient center in St. Petersburg is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated clinical team. Our staff includes two Physical Therapists, one Physical Therapist Assistant, and one Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist. We primarily treat outpatient orthopedic cases, with additional focus on vestibular rehabilitation and dry needling. We welcome applications from experienced PTAs with a minimum of 1 yr experience in outpatient orthopedics.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
Qualifications:
  • College graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License (or license in process)
  • 1 yr minimum outpatient orthopedic experience. 
  • CPR Certification
