Description

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established outpatient rehab clinic in Raleigh, North Carolina, for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join their patient care team. In this hybrid role, you will work directly under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to carry out individualized treatment plans, helping patients regain mobility, manage pain, and return to the activities they love.

Day to day, you will spend most of your time in the clinic guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training, while also documenting progress and coordinating care with the broader clinical team. Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by supervising Physical Therapists
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities
  • Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat or cold therapy
  • Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and report progress to the supervising PT
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-management techniques
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Ensure treatment areas and equipment are clean, safe, and properly maintained
  • Communicate effectively with physical therapists, front office staff, and referring physicians
  • Support scheduling and flow of the clinic to keep patient care running efficiently
  • Assist with patient intake, transfers, and positioning as needed

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in North Carolina
  • CPR certification in good standing
  • Minimum of two to three years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation principles
  • Comfortable using electronic medical record systems for documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and care teams
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and assist with patient transfers for extended periods
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality patient care
