Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing healthcare team in Tampa, FL. This position will provide hands-on rehabilitation services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, with a focus on helping patients improve mobility, function, and overall recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with individualized exercise programs and monitor their response to treatment.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout treatment sessions.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercises, recovery strategies, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress.
  • Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean, safe treatment environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Florida PTA license/certification required.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, human anatomy, and rehabilitation principles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous personal injury experience.
  • Experience treating patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
  • Background in neurological or outpatient rehabilitation.
