    Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility located at 700 W 45th Street in Austin, Texas. It's designed to help individuals recover from serious injuries or illnesses that have significantly impacted their ability to function independently.

    Here's what makes it stand out:

    • Specialized Rehabilitation Programs: Tailored care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic trauma, and other neurological or complex conditions.

    • Intensive Therapy Model: Patients typically receive at least three hours of physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy per day, five days a week, under the supervision of a rehabilitation physician.

    How you'll contribute

    The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

    Essential Functions

    • Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
    • Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
    • Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
    • Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Additional Information

    • Team-oriented and patient-focused with strong communication skills.

    Qualifications and requirements:

    • Education: Associate's degree from a PTA program.
    • Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
    • License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
    • Certifications: CPR certification required.
