Post Rehab is adding a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to our team at a skilled nursing facility. This position offers a steady schedule and the opportunity to work closely with residents on functional recovery and mobility.
Position Summary:
You'll partner with a Physical Therapist to carry out rehab programs that help residents improve movement, reduce discomfort, and safely return to daily activities.
Core Duties:
- Lead residents through prescribed therapy routines, including strengthening and mobility exercises
- Assist with walking programs, transfers, and positioning for safety and comfort
- Use therapeutic equipment and modalities as directed
- Document visits clearly and report patient status changes
- Reinforce care plans and encourage participation in therapy
Work Environment:
- Skilled nursing facility with a consistent patient population
- Team-oriented setting with PT, OT, SLP, and nursing collaboration
