    Symbria is seeking motivated Physical Therapist Assistants to join our full-time Internal Travel Team. This role offers the excitement of travel combined with the security of permanent employment-including health insurance, PTO, and continuing education.

    Travel assignments are available throughout our organization across 10 states and multiple care settings, with a competitive salary plus a monthly travel stipend .

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Review assigned patient charts and gather necessary background information

    • Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in collecting evaluation data within established areas of expertise

    • Seek guidance from the supervising Physical Therapist when evaluation data falls outside PTA scope of experience

    • Modify short-term goals and adapt treatment techniques to meet individual patient needs and established care plans

    • Discuss treatment plans and progress with patients and families as appropriate

    • Administer prescribed Physical Therapy programs to restore and maintain function and prevent disability, including:

    • Therapeutic exercises for lower extremity function, strength, and balance

    • Activities to improve coordination and mobility

    • Instruction in self-care tasks such as transfers, bed mobility, and ambulation

    • Education on body mechanics, joint protection, and work simplification

    • Complete accurate and timely clinical and billing documentation

    • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support quality patient outcomes

    • Maintain productivity standards and comply with Symbria policies, Code of Conduct, and travel contract terms

    • Utilize provided technology to support documentation and patient care

    • Travel to assigned Symbria locations and provide personal transportation between assignments

    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

    • Active PTA license in Symbria operating states or ability to obtain licensure (including compact eligibility)

    • Must hold a full license in state of residence if using a compact license

    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    • Excellent observation, problem-solving, and basic math skills

    • Customer-focused mindset with strong teamwork abilities

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    • Experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred (not required)

    ️ Travel Assignment Details

    • 13-week internal travel assignments with opportunities to extend or transition to new locations

    • Monthly living stipend provided based on assignment location and travel requirements

    • One year of continuous assignments guaranteed

    • After one year, choose relocation assistance for a permanent role or continue as part of the internal travel team
