We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join a dynamic outpatient clinic in Monterey, CA. Located along the breathtaking Monterey Bay Coastline, this opportunity places you in one of California's most iconic destinations. From the charm of Cannery Row to world-renowned seafood, dramatic ocean cliffs, and unforgettable West Coast sunsets, Monterey offers the perfect balance of work and lifestyle. Details of the role:
Anticipated start date: Flexible
Salary range: Up to $1,764 weekly
Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks
Scope of Work:
Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and mobility interventions
Assist patients with early mobilization following surgery, illness, or injury
Monitor vital signs and patient response to activity, reporting changes to the PT and medical team
Support safe patient handling and use of assistive devices
Document treatments and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborate with nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary team members
Educate patients and families on mobility techniques and discharge recommendations
Maintain infection control and hospital safety standards
Assist with discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active California PTA license
Strong communication and teamwork skills
