Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. In this role, you will help patients improve mobility, restore function, and achieve rehabilitation goals while ensuring compliance with all applicable clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation activities.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment while maintaining a safe clinical environment.
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers regarding treatment activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, required training, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Follow OSHA, Medicare, state regulations, and organizational policies related to patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or an equivalent internationally recognized program.
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification in the applicable state.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an outpatient, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team.
