    Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
    Location: Des Moines, IA
    Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
    Schedule: Full-Time and PRN | 30–40 hours per week, flexible
    Pay Range: $27.00–$35.75 per hour, based on experience

    Job Overview

    We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join a skilled nursing therapy team in Des Moines, Iowa.

    This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working with patients in a skilled nursing setting, values flexible scheduling, and wants to be part of a therapist-owned and therapist-managed organization. The team focuses on patient-tailored treatments, strong communication, and individualized care plans to help each patient reach their functional goals.

    Millennium Therapy is a patient-focused therapy company that provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services throughout Iowa. Their local home office provides support to therapy associates in the field.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the supervising Physical Therapist with patient care and treatment plans.
    • Provide direct treatment to residents according to the established plan of care.
    • Assist with resident screens under the direction of the supervising therapist.
    • Collect assessment data as part of the evaluation process, as directed by the Physical Therapist.
    • Educate and train patients, residents, caregivers, families, and facility staff.
    • Participate in the clinical team process.
    • Support clinical program development.
    • Prepare treatment materials and assist with other clerical duties as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, facility staff, and the therapy team.

    Qualifications

    • Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an APTA-accredited program.
    • Active Iowa PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good time management skills.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a skilled nursing environment.
