Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatrics

Salary Range: $27.83 - $29.66 per hour

Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, no weekend rotation

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with a passion for working with geriatric patients. In this role, you will work closely with our Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals to provide rehabilitative services to our elderly patients. You will assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans for geriatric patients

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and other modalities

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to promote independence and improve mobility

- Document patient progress and communicate with the healthcare team

- Assist with equipment set-up and maintenance

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program

- Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with geriatric patients

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Basic knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and equipment

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed
