Description

Our client, an outpatient rehabilitation company, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join their Boston clinic on a part-time basis. This role supports licensed physical therapists in delivering treatment plans to a varied patient population, including post-surgical, orthopedic, and sports-related caseloads.

The position requires hands-on patient care, accurate documentation, and close coordination with the clinical team to track patient progress. Shifts are scheduled across weekdays with flexibility discussed at the time of offer.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans established by supervising physical therapists
  • Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and stretches
  • Monitor and document patient response to treatment
  • Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat or ice therapy
  • Assist patients with gait training and use of mobility devices
  • Communicate patient progress to the supervising therapist
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and equipment
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Massachusetts PTA license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • CPR certification required
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to stand, bend, and assist with patient transfers throughout shifts
  • Reliable availability for part-time weekday scheduling
