What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide exceptional patient care and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
  • Providing therapeutic exercises, interventions, and modalities
  • Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising therapist
  • Educating patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery techniques
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and patient records
  • Ensuring a safe and organized treatment environment
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver the highest quality care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
  • Current Maine PTA license in good standing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
  • Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
