Job Summary and Description

Provides administrative oversight for physical security access control systems and operations, end-user identification and authorization while ensuring systems continuity planning requirements for Physical Security Systems. The systems administrator analyzes, develops and maintains security management hardware and software such as Video Management Systems (VMS) and Physical Access Control Systems (PACS). Oversees systems deployment, upgrades and enhancements, and coordination of applications interfaces. Executes all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Alamo Colleges District policies and procedures and associated laws and regulations.

Reports to Deputy Chief of Police.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor''s degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
• Three years related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master''s degree.
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency in VMS and PACS technology and systems best practices.
• Experience with physical security electronic access control systems, access management software, visitor management software, role-based access control (RBAC), identity and access management systems and/or access control operations.
• Experience in law enforcement intelligence and/or emergency management processes.
• Five years of experience with one or more of the following: physical security, access control, and surveillance systems.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and be insurable through the organization's insurers.
• Prefer Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), and/or the Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS).

Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen
