    Description

    Leidos is seeking a Security Specialist to deliver comprehensive personnel and physical security support to the 11th Air Force Special Security Office (SSO). In this high‑impact role, you will safeguard sensitive information, protect critical facilities, and ensure SCI personnel readiness across the Alaskan theater—directly supporting the Air Force’s mission in the Pacific.

    You will manage SCI access control, develop and enforce security policy, and oversee compliance for one of the Air Force’s most strategically important regions. Your expertise will drive the processing of TS//SCI visit requests, clearance verification, SCI indoctrinations, and coordination with DCSA CAS to ensure timely adjudication and resolution of derogatory information.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Administer the 11 AF SCI Personnel and Physical Security Programs

    • Conduct SCI indoctrinations and manage access control for SCI personnel and SCIFs

    • Monitor DISS/Scattered Castles for clearance verification and derogatory information

    • Coordinate escorts, perform audits, inspections, and ensure continuous compliance

    • Develop and review SCIF documentation (FFC, TEMPEST, CSP, MSP)

    • Process TS//SCI visit requests and collaborate with DCSA CAS on eligibility and adjudication

    • Train and support subordinate unit SSOs across 11 AF

    • Support Program Compliance Review (PCR) inspections and reporting requirements

    Basic Qualifications

    • Active TS/SCI clearance on day one

    • 5+ years of DoD security experience in military environments

    • Associate’s Degree

    • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and DoD clearance systems (DISS, Scattered Castles)

    • Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoDM 5105.21 Vols 2 & 3

    • Experience with DIA SCIF authorization processes

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a security‑related field

    • SPeD Security Fundamentals Certification

    • ICD 705 Site Security Manager (SSM) Certification

    • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification

    • PMP Certification

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
