Description

Physical Security Project Delivery Specialist
Houston, TX | Onsite | Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 to $125,000, depending on experience

iSphere is looking for a Physical Security Project Delivery Specialist who knows enterprise physical security systems well enough to keep projects moving, recognize when something is not right, and make sure the right people are in the room to fix it.

This is not a traditional IT Project Manager role, and it is not a hands-on installation position. Our client is looking for someone who understands access control, video surveillance, NVR platforms, Lenel/OnGuard, networking, and the infrastructure behind physical security systems, but is ready to spend more time coordinating projects than installing the equipment themselves.

You will serve as the bridge between physical security, IT, networking, engineering, vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders. That means tracking timelines, dependencies, action items, and deliverables while making sure everyone involved understands what needs to happen next.

You do not need to have held a formal Project Manager title. In fact, someone who has spent years working hands-on with physical security systems and is ready to move into a project delivery role could be exactly what our client is looking for.

What we need:

  • Strong experience working in enterprise physical security environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of access control systems
  • Experience with video surveillance, cameras, and NVR platforms
  • Experience with Lenel/OnGuard
  • Understanding of the IT and networking infrastructure that supports physical security systems
  • Experience working with IT, networking, engineering, vendors, and contractors
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, track project activity, and keep work moving toward completion
  • Enough technical experience to recognize issues, ask informed questions, and know when something needs to be escalated

Formal project management experience is helpful, but it is not required.

Current Lenel/OnGuard certification is also not required. Previous Lenel/OnGuard experience is important, and candidates with an expired certification or those willing to obtain or renew the appropriate certification after joining are encouraged to apply.

You will coordinate physical security and related IT infrastructure projects from planning through completion, manage vendor follow-up, track schedules and dependencies, help resolve roadblocks, and make sure internal teams and outside partners stay aligned.

The sweet spot for this role is someone who has actually worked with these systems and understands how they come together in the real world. You are not expected to engineer every solution or install every device, but you should know enough to tell the difference between a legitimate technical problem and a project that is simply drifting off course.

If you have spent your career in physical security and are ready to move from doing the work to helping lead and coordinate it, this could be a very good next step.
