Duration: 6+ months Contract
Job Description:- The Physical Security Network Engineer is responsible for reconfiguring corporate physical security devices as part of the enterprise network refresh. This role focuses specifically on updating and securing access control panels, IP cameras, badge readers, video recorders (NVRs), and other IP-based security systems to align with new network standards.
- The position is hands-on and execution-focused, ensuring devices are properly segmented, secured, tested, and documented.
Responsibilities:Device Reconfiguration- Reassign IP addresses for security devices to new approved subnets
- Move devices into designated security VLANs
- Update associated management systems with updated device network information
- Verify proper connectivity to access control and video management systems
Network Validation- Test camera feeds and recording functionality
- Confirm badge access systems communicate properly
- Validate firewall rules allow required traffic only
- Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues
Documentation- Record IP address changes and device locations
- Update network diagrams as needed
- Maintain accurate asset tracking records.
Experience:- 0–3 years of IT or networking experience
- Basic understanding of:
