Phoenix, AZ - Arizona State Hospital (ASH) - Security Officer (3rd Shift)

Arizona State Hospital is seeking a Contract Security Officer I to work 40 hours per week on four (4) 10-hour shifts. The Security Officer will provide campus security, conduct daily rounds, control facility ingress/egress, respond to emergencies, support patient interventions, perform safety inspections, monitor security equipment, complete incident reports, and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the Civil Hospital, Forensic Hospital, Arizona Community Protection & Treatment Center, and surrounding campus.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Security Guard/Officer
• Strong de-escalation, communication, investigation, and report-writing skills
• Ability to respond to hospital codes and provide verbal and/or physical intervention when needed
• Ability to lift/carry and perform physical security duties
• Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel
• FPCC required; candidates without FPCC must apply upon hire

Required Health Clearances:

• Rubella/Rubeola Titers OR MMR vaccination
• Hepatitis B Titer OR Hepatitis B vaccination
• Varicella Titer OR Varicella vaccination
• Current TB Skin Test or QTB (within the last 12 months)
• N-95 mask fit testing certification
