Our continued growth is driven by a commitment to quality, innovation, and patient-centered care.Position SummaryAs the Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our Garden City patient service center. You will lead a team of phlebotomists, laboratory processors, and reception staff while ensuring every patient receives exceptional service and every specimen is collected, processed, and transported accurately and efficiently.This is a hands-on leadership position. In addition to supervising staff, you'll actively participate in patient care, specimen collection, and daily laboratory operations while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupervise the daily activities of phlebotomists, laboratory processors, and reception staffLead, coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve exceptional performanceCoordinate daily staffing and workflow to ensure efficient patient servicePerform venipuncture and specimen collection as neededEnsure specimens are properly collected, labeled, processed, stored, and transportedMonitor quality standards and maintain compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory requirementsTrain and onboard new employees and provide ongoing competency assessmentsConduct employee performance evaluations and provide regular coaching and feedbackResolve patient concerns and provide outstanding customer serviceCollaborate with laboratory leadership to improve workflow, productivity, and patient satisfactionMaintain inventory of laboratory and phlebotomy suppliesEnsure laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, organized, and operating properlyAssist with scheduling, coverage, and other operational responsibilities as neededTravel occasionally to support other Treasure Valley Express Lab locationsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of three years of phlebotomy experienceDemonstrated leadership or supervisory experienceExcellent venipuncture and specimen collection skillsStrong communication, organizational, and customer service abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of laboratory specimen handling and processing proceduresPreferred:Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), PBT (ASCP), or equivalent certificationExperience supervising phlebotomy, laboratory processing, or patient service center staffExperience with laboratory information systems and electronic medical recordsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related fieldWhy Join Express Lab?At Express Lab, we believe exceptional patient care begins with exceptional people.
