    We are seeking motivated candidates interested in patient care and specimen collection for entry-level Phlebotomy and Patient Screening Technician opportunities.

    The position involves interacting directly with patients, obtaining basic health information, collecting blood specimens, maintaining records, and following established safety and infection-control procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and prepare patients for specimen collection
    • Confirm patient identification and required documentation
    • Perform blood collection using established phlebotomy procedures
    • Label and prepare specimens accurately
    • Obtain basic patient information and vital signs when required
    • Maintain clean and organized collection areas
    • Follow infection-control and bloodborne-pathogen procedures
    • Enter patient and specimen information into electronic systems
    • Monitor inventory and restock basic supplies
    • Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff
    • Protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements

    Basic Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Current HIPAA training certificate required
    • Completion of a phlebotomy training program or documented phlebotomy training
    • Basic computer skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Professional communication and patient-service skills
    • Comfortable working with blood, needles, and biological specimens
    • Ability to follow infection-control and safety procedures

    Preferred Qualifications

    • National phlebotomy certification
    • Previous healthcare or patient-facing experience
    • Current BLS certification
