    Part-Time | Weekend Days

    What You'll Do

    As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by collecting and processing laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently. You will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

    In this role, you will:

    • Collect blood, urine, and other body fluid specimens according to established protocols.
    • Positively identify patients and specimens to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
    • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Perform phlebotomy procedures with a high level of skill, professionalism, and patient care.
    • Greet and assist patients while providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment.
    • Prioritize specimen collection and processing based on patient needs, physician orders, and urgent situations.
    • Demonstrate accuracy and composure during crisis and emergent situations.
    • Assist with laboratory clerical functions, cleaning tasks, and routine operational duties.
    • Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel, nursing staff, providers, and other departments regarding patient and specimen needs.
    • Promote a positive team environment through collaboration, professionalism, and effective communication.
    • Perform Chain of Custody (COC) collections according to protocol, if certified.
    • Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels and stocking laboratory supplies.
    • Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain competency requirements and participate in continuing education opportunities.
    • Support laboratory operations through additional duties as assigned.

    Required Education

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Required Licenses & Certifications

    • Valid Driver's License

    Preferred Licenses & Certifications

    • Phlebotomy Technician Certification

    Preferred Experience

    • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
