    Position Type: Contract
    Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
    Start: As Soon As Possible
    Shift/Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Central Time)

    Job Summary
    The Phlebotomist (PSR II) represents the face of the organization and is responsible for delivering high-quality blood specimen collection and processing services. This role requires direct patient interaction while maintaining confidentiality, procedural compliance, and service excellence.
    The PSR II may support physician offices or Patient Service Centers based on operational needs and must maintain a professional and patient-focused environment at all times.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
    • Draw blood specimens including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
    • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture
    • Ensure proper specimen labeling in the patient’s presence
    • Maintain accurate documentation and required records
    • Maintain a safe and professional work environment
    • Travel to multiple Patient Service Center or in-office locations as needed
    • Demonstrate strong customer focus and effective communication with patients and team members

    Required Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
    • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
    • Keyboard/data entry proficiency
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Medical assistant or paramedic training
    • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in MO)
    • 2 years of Patient Service Center experience
    • Retail or service industry customer service experience

    Work Environment & Expectations
    • Onsite role in Springfield, MO
    • Monday–Friday schedule (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Central Time)
    • Flexible availability may include weekends, holidays, on-call, or overtime based on staffing needs
    • Training location may vary based on trainer availability
    • Must comply with all company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements
