Job Title: Phlebotomist - Phoenix

Job Description

The position involves drawing patients" blood and performing specimen processing. You will be responsible for collecting and receiving biological specimens, entering them into the company"s computer system, preparing samples for analytical testing, and distributing them to the proper analytical area. The role includes both pre and post aspects of analytical testing, along with performing specified analytical testing as assigned. Adherence to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct is required.

Responsibilities

  • Draw blood from patients and perform specimen processing.
  • Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
  • Accurately enter specimen information into the computer system.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the proper analytical area.
  • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct in all activities.

Essential Skills

  • 1 or more years of prior phlebotomy experience required (donor, plasma, and dialysis / IV draws do not qualify).
  • Experience with blood draw and specimen processing.
  • Proficiency in laboratory and phlebotomy techniques.
  • Comfortable working independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required.

Work Environment

The role is based in Phoenix, AZ, with working hours from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Phlebotomists will work within a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment, drawing blood and processing specimens. The company offers growth opportunities, including a career ladder leading to a Phlebotomy Technician 2 position with a 4% pay increase after 6 months. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
