    Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST | 40 hours/week 
     
    Job Summary:
    • The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) serves as a key point of contact for patients and is responsible for providing high-quality, accurate, and compassionate phlebotomy services. The PSR III performs blood collection and specimen processing while maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and accuracy.
    • This is a floater position, and the successful candidate may be assigned to Patient Service Centers, physician offices, or other locations based on business needs. The role requires flexibility, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel between multiple locations with minimal notice.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform venipuncture, pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections safely and accurately.
    • Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
    • Verify patient identification, demographic information, and required documentation.
    • Obtain patient initials/signatures following venipuncture to verify correct specimen labeling.
    • Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining specimen integrity.
    • Provide patients with clear explanations of collection procedures and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
    • Handle multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.
    • Demonstrate strong customer service and maintain a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
    • Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
    • Support multiple Patient Service Center and In-Office Phlebotomy locations as staffing needs require.
    • Demonstrate flexibility with weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, overtime, and schedule changes when required.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures, including Employee Health & Safety, dress code, confidentiality, and quality standards.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, peers, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Adapt to changing business needs and maintain a strong focus on process excellence and patient experience.
    • Complete training at locations determined by trainer availability.
     
    Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
    • Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience required.
    • Experience must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
    • Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to make sound decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, when applicable.
    • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple work locations.
    • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
    • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
    • Phlebotomy certification preferred; certification is required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
    • Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
