    Job Title: Phlebotomist I
    Location: Plantation, FL
    Duration: 3+ Months (Potential for Extension)
    Schedule:

    • Monday & Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Plantation, FL. The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while collecting high-quality blood specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and specimen integrity.

    The ideal candidate will be experienced in venipuncture, specimen collection, and patient interaction, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Collect blood specimens from patients using established phlebotomy procedures.
    • Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties accurately and efficiently.
    • Prepare, label, process, and store specimens according to laboratory guidelines.
    • Ensure all specimens are collected, handled, and transported in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
    • Verify patient information and maintain accurate records and documentation.
    • Explain collection procedures to patients and establish a comfortable, professional environment.
    • Demonstrate excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
    • Complete daily activities accurately and within established timelines.
    • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
    • Adhere to all applicable safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
    • Strong blood collection skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
    • Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or other related medical training.
    • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
    • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience.
    • Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.
