Location: Deltona, FL

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Pay Rate: $23.86 $25.57 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Mon Fri 6:00 AM 3:00 PM; Saturdays 6:00 AM 12:00 PM (rotating). Full-time 40-hour work week M F with rotating Saturdays.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel required up to 100%; required to cover multiple Patient Service Center / In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR III will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate.

Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

  • Maintain flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Adhere to all Policies & Procedures including company dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.
  • Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations, covering Patient Service Center / In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; accelerate and embrace change; and maintain knowledge of the business.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent Required
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
  • State Credentials / Licenses: Three years phlebotomy experience required, travel required up to 100% (per State of Credentials/Licenses field)

Required Experience

  • Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
  • Overtime expected.
  • Rotating Saturday availability required.
