    Job Overview: 
    AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking Certified Laboratory Phlebotomy Technicians to perform patient specimen collection and processing services at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) Bethesda, MD. The technicians will ensure proper specimen identification, collection, and handling across various departments. This role is key to ensuring accurate and timely laboratory testing in compliance with all MTF, Joint Commission (JC), and federal guidelines. 

    Qualifications:
    • Degree/Education: Certificate or degree from an accredited phlebotomy training program
    • BLS Active and Current from American Red Cross or American Heart Association is mandate. 
    • Certification: Required – ASCP, HHS, or American Medical Certification. 
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required. 
    • Licensure: None required. 
    • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    Skills and Abilities: 
    • Effective communication in English (spoken and written). 
    • Proficient in data entry and using electronic medical records. 
    • High attention to detail in specimen collection and documentation. 
    • Knowledge of lab safety standards and infection control practices. 
    • Able to handle different patient populations with professionalism and care.
    Schedule: 
    • Tuesday through Friday 0700 -1700, decided by Department
    • Saturday 0800 - 1630 Candidate must be open to work Weekends
    • 8-hour shifts, Only candidates with schedule flexibility should apply.
    Work Environment: 
    • Hospital laboratory setting 
    • Frequent interaction with patients and clinical staff 
    • Must adhere to medical safety and infection control procedures 
    Immunization Requirement: 
    Must meet WRNMMC immunization requirements due to patient exposure. 

    Security Requirement: 
    Must pass a federal background check and credentialing process. 
    Compensation: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
